On February 27th the Marine Corps jazz band performed their tunes in front of OHS Students during a double 5th hour. The auditorium filled with students and faculty members eager to hear the beautiful sounds of music. The group of six had been touring around the country even since the beginning of February. This band has been traveling all over the country to places like Ohio, Wisconsin, and even Kentucky. They will be performing a free performance for the community February 27th at 7:30pm. The group of members in the Corps are not only known as musicianists but also actively serve the country. They want people to be aware that apart from performing great jazz tunes the group fully went through marine bootcamp and are prepared to serve their country whenever and wherever. To be in the Marine Corps jazz band their is a series of steps that need to be taken. OHS has a recruiter that can be found often during lunch time, roaming the halls from time to time, or can be contacted through the school. Students wanting to join the Marine Corps can contact the recruiter connected with OHS and be given great opportunities. To be enlisted in the Corps has a series of steps that can be completed with the help of our local recruiter.

“I thought it was a great experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity,” said Loreta Prenaj.

The Corps are among the most widely known and best bands in the country. The opportunity given to OHS students to listen to the Corps band was a once a lifetime experience and was a chance of a lifetime.
